The line of black SUVs came to a smooth stop beneath the glowing lights of Crowe Casino.
Every guard straightened immediately.
Every employee lowered their head.
Even Snake quickly crushed his cigarette beneath his shoe before stepping forward respectfully.
"Welcome back, Don Crowe," everyone greeted in unison.
The rear door of the middle SUV slowly opened.
A pair of polished black leather shoes touched the pavement first.
Then came a tall man dressed in an expensive charcoal suit beneath a long black overcoat. His expression remained calm, but the icy authority surrounding him was enough to silence the entire courtyard.
Theo Crowe.
At only thirty-two years old, he had already become one of the most feared mafia leaders in the city.
Since their parents had died in a crossfire fifteen years earlier, Theo had raised Eva himself. He had been her guardian, teacher, protector, and the only family she truly trusted.
Snake bowed deeply.
"Don, thank you for coming despite the late hour."
Theo didn't even look at him.
"You said you found something worth my time."
"Yes, Don."
Snake smiled confidently before motioning toward Eva.
"A rare gift."
"She's beautiful, educated, and untouched. I thought she would be... suitable."
Theo's cold eyes shifted toward the unconscious young woman.
He frowned.
"Didn't I make myself clear years ago?"
Snake's confident smile stiffened.
"Don?"
"I don't accept women."
"But... she's different..."
"Every fool says that."
Theo started walking toward the casino entrance without another glance.
Snake hurried after him.
"Please, Don. At least look once. If you don't like her, we'll take her away immediately."
Theo stopped.
His patience had almost reached its limit.
"One minute," he said coldly.
"After that, I don't want to hear another word about this nonsense."
Snake immediately dragged Eva forward.
"Lift her head," Theo ordered without emotion.
One of the guards tilted Eva's face upward.
Her long black hair slipped away from her cheeks.
Theo barely glanced at her.
Then he froze.
Something felt strangely familiar.
He stepped closer.
His heartbeat quickened for reasons he couldn't explain.
"Where did you find her?"
"A university student," Snake answered proudly.
"Her boyfriend sold her to pay off a gambling debt."
"Interesting."
Theo looked again.
The girl's face was pale.
There was a tiny beauty mark beneath her left eye.
Exactly like someone he knew.
"What's her name?"
"Eva Quinn."
The surname made Theo hesitate.
Quinn.
Their mother's maiden name.
The same surname Eva had used ever since leaving home.
No...
It couldn't be.
His eyes immediately dropped toward her wrist.
A silver bracelet reflected beneath the lights.
His expression changed instantly.
Only one bracelet like that existed in the entire world.
He had commissioned it personally from Switzerland five years ago.
It contained a hidden GPS tracker and emergency distress signal.
He had made Eva promise never to remove it.
"Eva..." he whispered almost silently.
At that exact moment...
Buzz.
Buzz.
Buzz.
Theo's phone vibrated violently inside his coat pocket.
The emergency alert.
His private security application displayed only one message.
**SOS Activated.**
**Owner: Eva Quinn.**
**Location: Crowe Casino Entrance.**
For a brief second...
The entire world seemed to stop.
Theo slowly lifted his eyes toward the unconscious woman.
"Eva...?"
His voice shook.
Snake looked confused.
"Don?"
Theo suddenly exploded.
"WHO TOUCHED MY SISTER?"
His furious roar echoed across the entire casino courtyard.
Every guard instinctively drew their weapons.
Snake's smile disappeared.
"Your... sister?"
Miles frowned in confusion.
"What sister?"
Theo took two long strides before carefully catching Eva as her body started collapsing.
He gently brushed the hair away from her face.
"Eva... wake up..."
For the first time in years...
Fear appeared in the ruthless Don's eyes.
He immediately noticed the faint bruise near her wrist.
His gaze slowly lifted.
It settled directly on Miles.
"Who brought her here?"
Nobody answered.
"I asked..."
His voice became terrifyingly quiet.
"Who... brought... my... sister... here?"
Snake pointed toward Miles with trembling hands.
"H-He did... Don..."
Miles laughed awkwardly.
"Sir... I think there's been some misunderstanding..."
"Misunderstanding?"
Theo carefully handed Eva to his personal physician before walking toward Miles.
Each step echoed like a death sentence.
Miles subconsciously backed away.
"You sold my sister..."
Theo's voice was calm now.
Too calm.
"For twenty thousand dollars."
"I... I didn't know she was your sister!"
"Exactly."
Theo nodded once.
"Because if you had known... you would've needed far more than twenty thousand to buy the right to breathe near her."
Without warning...
Theo punched Miles square across the face.
The sickening crack echoed through the courtyard.
Miles flew backward, crashing into a parked luxury car before collapsing onto the ground.
Blood poured from his mouth.
Before he could even scream...
Theo grabbed him by the collar.
"Lock every gate," Theo ordered without taking his eyes off Miles.
"No one leaves this casino tonight."
Dozens of armed guards moved instantly.
Steel doors slammed shut around the property.
Miles stared around in horror.
Only then did he finally realize...
The woman he had sold wasn't an ordinary college student.
She was the little sister of the city's most feared mafia Don.
