Chapter 5: The Truth Behind Snake

The next morning, Crowe Casino was unusually quiet.

The lavish halls that were normally filled with wealthy gamblers now felt tense. Every employee had heard rumors that someone had crossed the Don's family.

Nobody dared ask questions.

Inside Theo's office, dozens of files covered the large mahogany desk.

Snake stood in the middle of the room, his hands trembling.

Across from him sat Theo Crowe.

His expression was unreadable.

"Explain," Theo said calmly.

Snake swallowed hard.

"Don... I swear I didn't know Miss Eva was your sister."

"You already said that yesterday."

"Tell me something I don't know."

Snake hesitated.

"I... I was only trying to help recover casino debts."

"By buying and selling women?"

Snake's face lost all color.

"N-No... that's not..."

Theo tossed a thick folder across the desk.

Photographs scattered onto the floor.

Passport copies.

Bank transfers.

Security camera stills.

Every page carried Snake's name.

"Do you recognize these?" Theo asked.

Snake slowly bent down.

His breathing became uneven.

"Don..."

"My security team worked all night," Theo continued.

"While investigating Miles, they uncovered something much larger."

"You weren't collecting gambling debts."

"You were trafficking women through my casino."

Snake's knees nearly buckled.

"I can explain..."

"Good."

"Because you're going to explain everything."

Theo pressed a button on his desk.

The office door opened.

Two investigators entered carrying laptops.

One of them connected the computer to the massive screen behind Theo.

Video footage began playing.

One woman after another.

Young girls arriving at the casino.

Terrified faces.

Fake contracts.

Cash changing hands.

Snake's own voice negotiating prices.

His entire operation had been recorded.

Snake's lips trembled.

"Someone framed me..."

"Really?" Theo interrupted.

"Then perhaps your own signature forged itself on these bank transfers too?"

More documents appeared.

Millions of dollars had moved through secret accounts.

Snake could no longer deny it.

"Please, Don..."

"I became greedy."

"The casino attracted wealthy clients."

"Some wanted women more than gambling."

"I thought... I thought no one would ever find out."

Theo slowly stood.

"You thought wrong."

The room fell silent.

"My father built this casino to protect our territory."

"My mother died making sure this family kept its honor."

"And you turned our name into a marketplace for innocent women."

"You didn't just betray me."

"You insulted my entire family."

Snake dropped to his knees.

"Please spare my life!"

"I'll disappear forever!"

"I'll return every dollar!"

Theo looked at him without sympathy.

"Money isn't the problem."

"Character is."

"And yours has none."

Meanwhile...

Eva slowly walked through the casino lobby with one of Theo's assistants.

She still felt weak, but staying locked inside the penthouse reminded her too much of the previous night.

Employees respectfully greeted her.

"Good morning, Miss Crowe."

"Welcome, Miss Crowe."

She smiled politely.

Most of them had never actually met her before.

Theo had always kept her life separate from the family's business.

As she reached the grand staircase, she overheard whispers.

"Is that really the Don's little sister?"

"She's so different from what I imagined."

"I heard someone tried to sell her."

"Poor girl..."

Eva lowered her eyes.

The memory still hurt.

Suddenly, Theo's personal assistant approached.

"Miss Eva, the Don asked me to escort you upstairs."

"Something happened?"

"Yes."

"Snake confessed."

Minutes later...

Eva entered Theo's office.

Snake immediately looked up.

The moment he saw her, he burst into tears.

"Miss Eva!"

"Please forgive me!"

"I swear I didn't know who you were!"

Eva quietly stared at him.

"If I had been an ordinary girl..." she asked softly.

"Would you still be apologizing?"

Snake opened his mouth.

No words came out.

That silence answered everything.

Eva nodded slowly.

"Exactly."

"You're not sorry for what you did."

"You're sorry because you chose the wrong victim."

Theo looked proudly at his sister.

She was hurting.

But she hadn't lost her strength.

He turned toward his guards.

"Take Snake away."

"Send every piece of evidence to the police and the federal task force."

"Make sure every victim receives protection."

"Yes, Don."

Snake screamed as guards dragged him toward the exit.

"Don! Please!"

"Don't hand me over!"

"I'll die in prison!"

Theo never looked back.

When the office finally became quiet again, Eva released a slow breath.

"It's over," Theo said.

"No," Eva replied, gazing out the window.

"Snake is over..."

"But there's still someone else who has to answer for what he did."

Theo followed her gaze.

Down in the underground holding cells...

Miles Carter sat alone.

Completely unaware that he was about to face Eva one last time.
