Nathan slowly turned toward the nurse.

"What is it?" he asked.

The nurse looked around cautiously before lowering her voice.

"Mr. Bennett, there's a woman who has been waiting outside the maternity ward for over an hour."

"She said she witnessed what happened at your company."

Nathan's expression hardened.

"Bring her in."

A few minutes later, a young woman wearing an employee identification badge stepped nervously into the room.

She couldn't have been older than twenty-four.

"My name is Hannah Brooks," she said quietly.

"I work in the Human Resources Department."

Nathan nodded.

"Tell me everything."

Hannah took a deep breath.

"Everyone thinks Ms. Morgan attacked your wife because she misunderstood who she was."

"But... that's not completely true."

Nathan's eyes narrowed.

"Explain."

"Ms. Morgan has been telling people for months that she'd eventually become Mrs. Bennett."

"She always acted like she already owned the executive floor."

"Whenever female clients or business partners came to see you, she'd deliberately make things difficult for them."

"Some important meetings were even canceled because of her behavior."

Nathan looked stunned.

"Why wasn't I informed?"

Hannah lowered her head.

"People were afraid."

"Claire often told everyone she had your complete trust."

"Anyone who reported her mysteriously ended up transferred or forced to resign."

Nathan felt his anger rise again.

"Go on."

"This morning..." Hannah continued.

"I overheard Claire talking to another secretary before your wife arrived."

"She said if another woman came looking for you, she'd make sure she never returned."

"She sounded... obsessed."

The hospital room fell silent.

Olivia, still lying weakly in bed, slowly opened her eyes.

She had heard every word.

"Nathan..." she whispered.

"You trusted someone like that?"

Nathan took her hand.

"I trusted her work."

"I never imagined she'd abuse her position."

Olivia gave a faint smile.

"I know."

"This isn't your fault."

Before Nathan could answer, Ethan rushed into the room carrying a tablet.

"Sir, we have another problem."

"What happened?"

"The company servers recovered deleted emails from Claire's account."

"Deleted emails?"

"Yes."

"She intercepted several messages addressed to you over the past year."

Nathan frowned.

"Including what?"

"Meeting requests."

"Business invitations."

"Personal deliveries."

"And..."

Ethan hesitated.

"Three appointments Mrs. Bennett scheduled to visit your office."

Nathan stared at him.

"What?"

"Each time, Claire canceled the appointments without informing you."

Olivia's eyes widened in disbelief.

"That explains why you never came..."

Nathan remembered every occasion.

Birthdays.

Anniversaries.

Lunches that Olivia had quietly canceled at the last minute.

He had assumed she became busy.

She had assumed he ignored her.

Claire had stood between them the entire time.

"There's more," Ethan added.

"Our IT department also recovered messages Claire sent from anonymous accounts."

"She spread rumors online claiming you were secretly dating different women."

"She wanted people to believe your marriage was already falling apart."

Nathan's face turned frighteningly calm.

"She didn't just attack my wife today..."

"She's been sabotaging my marriage for over a year."

At that moment, Nathan's phone rang.

The caller ID displayed one word.

Police.

"Mr. Bennett," the officer said after he answered.

"We questioned Ms. Morgan."

"She denied assaulting your wife."

"Denied it?" Nathan asked coldly.

"She claims your wife attacked her first."

"She has already hired one of the city's best defense attorneys."

"She's planning to sue Mrs. Bennett for defamation and intentional injury."

The room fell into stunned silence.

Olivia looked at Nathan in disbelief.

"She's blaming me?"

Nathan slowly stood.

Every trace of sorrow disappeared from his face.

Only determination remained.

"If she wants a legal battle..."

He looked toward Ethan.

"Then we'll give her one."

"Hire the best legal team in the country."

"I don't care what it costs."

"This isn't just about clearing Olivia's name anymore."

"It's about making sure Claire Morgan never has the chance to destroy another innocent person's life."

Outside the hospital, reporters had already begun gathering.

Breaking news alerts spread rapidly across the city.
