Sebastian and Sabrina returned to the Ford Mansion before dawn.
Neither of them spoke during the drive.
The map Arthur had hidden inside the diary rested silently between them.
As soon as they entered the mansion, Arthur was waiting in the library.
His eyes immediately fell on the diary.
"You found it," he whispered with relief.
"And this," Sebastian replied, placing the old map on the table.
"It says the final secret is beneath the Ford Estate."
Arthur closed his eyes.
"So... the time has finally come."
"Grandpa, what is hidden beneath this house?" Sabrina asked.
Arthur remained silent for several moments before standing up.
"Follow me."
He led them through the oldest wing of the mansion.
At the end of a forgotten hallway stood a massive portrait of the Ford family.
Arthur pressed a hidden switch behind the frame.
A deep rumbling echoed through the wall.
Slowly, the bookshelf beside it slid open.
A narrow staircase descended into darkness.
"This passage has remained sealed for over twenty-five years," Arthur said.
Sebastian looked stunned.
"I've lived here my entire life... and never knew this existed."
"Only the family head knows about it."
They walked down the stone steps.
Dust covered every surface.
At the bottom lay an underground vault built from solid steel.
Arthur unlocked it using an old bronze key.
Inside were dozens of locked cabinets, photographs, legal documents, and several wooden chests.
Sabrina slowly walked toward a large portrait hanging on the wall.
It showed Arthur, Adrian Scott, Sebastian's father, and several other young men smiling together.
"They were friends..." she whispered.
"Very close friends," Arthur replied sadly.
"Before Black Phoenix destroyed everything."
Sebastian stared at his father's younger face.
"Father never mentioned Adrian."
"Because he believed Adrian betrayed him," Arthur answered.
"By the time he learned the truth... Adrian was already dead."
Arthur opened one of the cabinets.
Inside were old financial ledgers.
"These books contain every illegal transaction Black Phoenix forced us to hide."
"For years I gathered evidence while pretending to obey them."
"Why didn't you expose them?" Sebastian asked.
"Because they threatened every family I loved."
"Including Sabrina."
Arthur handed Sabrina a sealed envelope.
"Your mother left this here before she disappeared."
With trembling hands, Sabrina opened it.
Inside was another handwritten letter.
"My darling Sabrina,"
"If you are reading this, Arthur succeeded in protecting you."
"Never blame him."
"He sacrificed everything for us."
"The truth you're searching for isn't only about our family."
"Black Phoenix controls judges, politicians, businessmen, and criminal organizations around the world."
"Destroying them will cost many lives."
"If you choose this path... there will be no turning back."
Sabrina quietly folded the letter.
Her eyes were filled with determination.
"I'm not running anymore."
"Neither am I," Sebastian said firmly.
Arthur smiled proudly.
"Then you're both ready."
Just then, Sebastian's assistant rushed into the underground chamber.
"Mr. Ford!"
"How did you find this place?" Sebastian asked.
"The emergency alarm activated upstairs."
"Someone breached the estate's security perimeter."
"Who?"
"Nearly thirty armed men have surrounded the mansion."
"They're wearing black uniforms with a silver phoenix emblem."
Arthur's face became pale.
"They found us..."
"How is that possible?" Sabrina asked.
"Someone leaked the location of the underground vault."
Suddenly, every light inside the chamber went dark.
Emergency alarms echoed throughout the estate.
A familiar voice played through the mansion's security speakers.
"Good evening, Arthur."
"You've hidden long enough."
"Raven," Arthur muttered.
"Bring us the evidence," Raven's voice continued.
"Or we'll burn the entire Ford Estate to the ground."
Sebastian immediately loaded his pistol.
"We're not surrendering."
"They outnumber us ten to one," the assistant warned.
"Then we'll fight smarter."
Sabrina picked up the diary and the stack of evidence.
"These documents can't fall into their hands."
"Agreed," Sebastian said.
"No matter what happens... protect the evidence first."
Just then, an explosion shook the entire underground chamber.
Dust rained from the ceiling.
The emergency lights flickered red.
"They've entered the mansion!" the assistant shouted.
Arthur looked at Sabrina and Sebastian with calm determination.
"The final battle... has begun."
