The massive stone doors stood wide open.
Golden light poured from the ancient chamber beneath Blood Fang Valley, illuminating every warrior gathered on the battlefield.
No one moved.
Every Alpha, every rogue, and every warrior stared at the glowing entrance.
Then the hooded stranger stepped forward.
"At last," the mysterious figure said.
"After centuries, the Crown of Unity will belong to me."
"Who are you?" Kael demanded.
The stranger slowly lowered the hood.
A man with silver hair and piercing amber eyes smiled coldly.
"My name has been erased from history."
"But long ago... I was known as Alpha Malrik."
The elders accompanying Darius immediately stiffened.
"Impossible," one whispered.
"Malrik died three hundred years ago."
"Legends rarely tell the truth," Malrik replied.
"I survived."
"I've waited generations for this moment."
"Why?" Seraphina asked.
"Because fate stole everything from me," Malrik answered.
"My mate rejected me to strengthen an alliance."
"Kings praised destiny while my world burned."
"So I decided to destroy destiny itself."
Before anyone could react, Malrik raised a black crystal in his hand.
Dark energy erupted across the valley.
The stone doors trembled violently.
"Stop him!" Darius shouted.
Chaos exploded.
Rogues charged alongside Malrik's mercenaries while the northern Alphas fought to break through.
Kael and Darius stood back-to-back for the first time.
Neither spoke.
They simply fought.
One defended the left.
The other defended the right.
Seraphina moved between them, protecting injured warriors and driving back attackers with flawless precision.
The battlefield became a storm of steel and snow.
Suddenly, the Heart Crystal hidden inside the ancient chamber pulsed brightly.
A voice echoed throughout the valley.
"Only one who seeks freedom rather than power may claim the Crown."
Everyone froze.
The golden light surrounded Seraphina.
"No..." she whispered.
"Why me?"
The light answered by guiding her toward the chamber.
"Go!" Darius shouted.
"We'll hold them back!"
Kael nodded without hesitation.
"Run, Seraphina!"
She sprinted through the ancient doorway.
Inside, a circular chamber stretched beneath the mountain.
At its center rested a simple silver crown upon a stone pedestal.
It wasn't decorated with jewels.
It wasn't covered in gold.
It looked surprisingly ordinary.
"So this is the Crown of Unity..."
As she reached for it, Malrik suddenly appeared behind her.
"Move aside!" he roared.
"It belongs to me!"
Dark energy shot toward her.
Before it could strike, Kael leaped between them.
"Kael!"
The blast threw him across the chamber.
Darius arrived moments later, forcing Malrik backward with a powerful strike.
"Take the Crown!" he shouted.
"Now!"
With trembling hands, Seraphina lifted the ancient crown.
The instant her fingers touched it, brilliant silver light erupted throughout the chamber.
Every wolf present felt the mate bond within them resonate.
Memories flooded Seraphina's heart.
Her love for Kael.
Her pain.
Her loneliness.
Her healing.
Everything became one.
A gentle voice whispered inside her soul.
"What do you desire?"
She closed her eyes.
"Not revenge."
"Not power."
"Not another destiny."
"I want every wolf to have the freedom to choose love for themselves."
The Crown glowed brighter than the sun.
A wave of silver light swept across the entire valley.
Every wolf gasped.
Ancient mate bonds loosened.
Not broken.
Not destroyed.
Simply... transformed.
From that moment forward, fate would guide hearts.
But it would never imprison them again.
Malrik screamed as the darkness surrounding him shattered.
"No!"
"Impossible!"
The black crystal in his hand crumbled into dust.
Its power vanished forever.
The ancient chamber began collapsing.
"Everyone out!" Darius ordered.
Warriors rushed toward the exit.
Kael, still injured, looked at Seraphina one final time.
"You did it," he said with a tired smile.
"No," she answered softly.
"We all did."
Together they escaped just as the temple disappeared beneath the mountain forever.
Outside, silence fell over Blood Fang Valley.
Snow drifted peacefully through the air.
For the first time in countless generations...
The wolves of every kingdom were finally free to decide their own future.
Seraphina looked toward the endless northern sky.
The chains of fate had broken.
Now only one final chapter remained...
The chapter where everyone would choose the life they truly wanted.
