The final divorce hearing arrived on a bright Monday morning.

Unlike the anxious woman who had first walked into Emma Collins' office months earlier, Lily entered the courthouse with quiet confidence.

She wore a simple cream-colored suit.

No expensive jewelry.

No dramatic makeup.

Only the calm expression of someone who had finally made peace with herself.

Mark was already waiting outside the courtroom.

When their eyes met, he offered a faint smile.

"Good morning, Lily."

"Good morning."

There was no anger between them anymore.

Only distance.

The hearing itself was brief.

Both parties agreed to the settlement prepared by Emma Collins.

Neither side disputed the division of assets.

Anthony would continue spending time with both parents according to the agreed schedule.

After reviewing the documents, the judge looked toward them.

"From today onward," he announced,

"your marriage is officially dissolved."

With the strike of a small wooden gavel...

Ten years of marriage came to an end.

Outside the courthouse, Mark stopped Lily before she left.

"There's one last thing I need to say."

She quietly waited.

"Thank you."

"For loving me all those years."

"I'm sorry I realized your worth only after losing you."

Lily smiled gently.

"Take good care of Anthony."

"He needs his father now more than ever."

"And you?" Mark asked softly.

"What about you?"

She looked toward the clear blue sky.

"I'll take care of myself."

"It's something I should've learned a long time ago."

She turned and walked away without looking back.

This time...

She truly felt free.

Several months later...

Lily had settled comfortably into her new career.

Her dedication and leadership quickly earned respect throughout the company.

Grace often joked that she should have hired Lily years earlier.

"You're the best manager we've ever had," Grace laughed one afternoon.

"I finally know what confidence feels like," Lily admitted.

"Not because someone else believes in me..."

"Because I believe in myself."

Her relationship with Anthony also continued improving.

Every weekend they explored new cafés, visited museums, or simply cooked dinner together.

Their conversations became easier.

The awkward silence gradually disappeared.

One afternoon while planting flowers on her balcony, Anthony looked at his mother.

"Mom?"

"Are you happy now?"

Lily paused before smiling warmly.

"Yes."

"Very happy."

"Even without Dad?"

"Happiness isn't something another person gives you," she answered.

"It's something you build for yourself."

"The people who truly love you simply help protect it."

Anthony quietly thought about those words.

"I'll remember that."

Meanwhile, Mark continued living alone.

The large house no longer felt like home.

It simply reminded him of everything he had taken for granted.

Rather than chasing Lily, he focused on becoming a better father.

Every mistake he had made became a lesson instead of an excuse.

As for Sophie...

She quietly moved to another city after the investigation ended.

Her reputation never fully recovered.

One day she mailed Lily a handwritten letter.

It contained only one sentence.

"I'm sorry for stealing ten years of your life."

Lily read the letter once before folding it carefully.

She neither replied nor threw it away.

Some apologies deserved acknowledgment.

Not reconciliation.

On the anniversary of what would have been her eleventh wedding anniversary, Lily opened her social media account.

She uploaded a simple photograph.

The picture showed a peaceful balcony filled with blooming sunflowers.

A cup of coffee rested beside an open book.

The city stretched beautifully in the background.

The caption read:

"Choosing yourself isn't selfish.

It's where healing begins."

Within minutes, hundreds of people reacted.

Among them was Mark.

He quietly pressed the like button.

Then closed the app.

No message.

No request.

No regrets expressed once again.

He understood that some endings should remain endings.

Later that evening, Lily stood beneath the setting sun.

The breeze gently moved through the sunflowers Anthony had given her.

She closed her eyes and smiled.

Years ago, she believed happiness meant being a good wife.

Then she believed it meant being a perfect mother.

Now she finally understood the truth.

Real happiness began the moment she stopped sacrificing herself for people who never appreciated her.

She had rebuilt her career.

She had repaired her relationship with her son.

She had reclaimed her dignity.

Most importantly...

She had found herself again.

Looking toward the endless horizon, Lily whispered softly,

"I finally have it all."

And this time...

Everything she had belonged to her.
