The private jet tore through the night sky, but Dominick couldn't sit still.
Every few minutes, he checked his phone.
No calls.
No messages.
Nothing from Luna.
For three years, Luna had always been there.
She would wait for him, question him, argue with him, and eventually forgive him.
Dominick had taken that forgiveness for granted.
Now, for the first time, the silence terrified him.
"How long until we reach Averia?" he asked coldly.
"About forty minutes, Don Costa."
Dominick nodded and stared out the window.
His mind kept replaying Luna's final question.
"Is Gia a family member or a lover to you?"
He had chosen his answer without hesitation.
Family.
It was a lie.
And Luna had known it was a lie.
That realization made his chest tighten.
When the jet finally landed in Averia, Dominick stepped onto the runway and immediately ordered his men to locate Luna.
"Find her. I want her location within ten minutes."
"Yes, Don."
The men scattered.
Dominick stood alone beneath the cold night sky.
For the first time, he wasn't chasing an enemy.
He was chasing the woman he had pushed away himself.
Meanwhile, across the city, Luna sat inside a luxurious black car.
Archibald sat beside her, his injured leg carefully bandaged.
"Are you sure you don't want to go directly home?" he asked.
Luna looked through the window at the familiar streets of Averia.
"Not yet."
Her expression was calm.
There were no tears in her eyes anymore.
"I want to see my parents first."
The car stopped in front of a massive estate surrounded by iron gates.
The gates opened immediately.
Luna stepped out.
The moment the front door opened, her mother rushed toward her.
"Luna!"
Luna's composure finally cracked.
She threw herself into her mother's arms.
"Mom... I'm home."
Her mother hugged her tightly, tears streaming down her face.
"You're finally home, sweetheart."
Her father stood behind them, his expression grim.
He looked at Archibald's injured leg and immediately understood that something terrible had happened.
"Who did this?"
Luna lowered her eyes.
"Dominick."
Her father's expression turned icy.
"I warned you three years ago."
"I know."
"You chose him over us."
"I know."
Her father fell silent.
Then he walked toward her and placed a hand on her head.
"But you're my daughter. You don't need permission to come home."
Luna's eyes filled with tears again.
For three years, she had convinced herself that she had lost her family.
She hadn't.
She had only been too stubborn to return.
Her mother gently held her hand.
"Come inside. From today onward, nothing from the Costa family can hurt you anymore."
Luna nodded.
But before she could step inside, her phone rang.
The screen displayed an unfamiliar number.
She knew exactly who it was.
Dominick.
She stared at the screen for several seconds.
Then she declined the call.
A second call came immediately.
She declined that one too.
Her father noticed.
"Don't answer."
"I won't."
Luna turned her phone off.
At that exact moment, Dominick stood outside the Bianchi estate.
The security guards blocked his path.
"This is private property. You cannot enter."
Dominick's face darkened.
"Tell Luna Bianchi that Dominick Costa is here."
One guard calmly replied, "She knows."
"Then open the gate."
"I'm afraid we can't."
Dominick's jaw tightened.
"Do you know who you're speaking to?"
"Yes."
The guard looked straight into his eyes.
"And we also know that you're no longer her husband."
Dominick froze.
Behind the gates, Luna stood beside her father and watched him from a distance.
Their eyes met.
For a brief moment, Dominick thought she might come to him.
Instead, Luna turned away.
She didn't hesitate.
She didn't cry.
She didn't even look back.
The gates slowly closed between them.
Dominick stared at them in disbelief.
For three years, he had believed Luna would never leave him.
Now he finally understood the truth.
He hadn't lost Luna tonight.
He had lost her the moment she stopped waiting for him.
