The moment the Enforcers moved toward Stella, Head Elder Harrison stepped in front of her.
"You're making a mistake," he said coldly.
"My daughter was trying to save the Luna. You can't arrest her based on a few records."
The lead Enforcer didn't even blink.
"Then she can explain those records during the investigation."
Harrison's jaw tightened.
Stella looked at him desperately.
"Dad, tell them what happened. You know I followed your instructions."
The hallway went completely silent.
Stella's face changed the instant she realized what she'd said.
Harrison's expression turned murderous.
"Stella."
His single warning made her shut her mouth.
But it was already too late.
The Enforcer stepped closer.
"What instructions?"
Stella shook her head frantically.
"Nothing. I was confused."
I watched them both.
So the red warning had been right.
Stella wasn't the mastermind.
Someone had ordered her to do it.
And that someone was almost certainly her father.
The Enforcer turned toward Harrison.
"Head Elder, I suggest you cooperate before this becomes an obstruction charge."
Harrison's eyes narrowed.
"You have no proof that I ordered anything."
"Not yet," the Enforcer replied.
"But we're going to find it."
Two guards escorted Stella away.
She passed me slowly, her eyes filled with hatred.
"You think you've won, Cora?" she whispered.
I didn't answer.
The moment she disappeared around the corner, another red message appeared before my eyes.
【DON'T CELEBRATE YET. THE LUNA'S DEATH WAS ONLY THE FIRST MOVE.】
My heart sank.
【THE REAL TARGET WAS NEVER THE LUNA. IT WAS THE NEUTRAL TERRITORY SANCTUARY ITSELF.】
I stared at the words.
That made no sense.
Why would anyone want to destroy the Sanctuary?
The Neutral Territory existed to protect every pack. Its healers treated wolves regardless of rank or allegiance.
If the Sanctuary fell, every pack would lose its safest place for medical treatment.
Then Julian rushed into the hallway.
His face was pale.
"Cora, you need to come with me."
"What happened?"
He lowered his voice.
"Someone accessed the Sanctuary's restricted archives tonight."
My stomach tightened.
"What were they looking for?"
Julian swallowed.
"Your patient records."
Before I could respond, every light in the hallway suddenly went out.
A second later, the emergency alarm began screaming.
Somewhere deep inside the Sanctuary, glass shattered.
Then a terrified voice echoed through the darkness.
"The medicine vault has been breached!"
