Elodie posted another selfie in the freshman channel.
Taken at Moonveil Park.
Wearing a silver-grey wolf-ear headband and a preppy miniskirt, her long hair draped over her shoulder-vibrant, glowing, like a model straight off a fashion magazine cover.
The guy beside her was blurred out.
But at a single glance, I spotted the watch on his wrist-the exact same one Knox wore in his PackFeed photos.
Comments flooded in.
[Our Silvercrest princess is gorgeous! Who's the guy beside her?]
[Looks like Knox!]
Tessa told me Knox had been chasing Elodie ever since her very first selfie.
He personally drove into Silvercrest territory, sent her a truckload of Moonflowers, and bought out Moonveil Park for a private fireworks show.
Now, they were officially together.
Knox dropped over a dozen Pack Credit gift bombs right in the freshman channel.
[Official. Elodie Snowe is my girlfriend.]
The channel blew up with cheers.
[Knox flexing big! Stormridge's Alpha heir and Silvercrest's princess-a match made in heaven!]
[They look stunning together! I believe in love again!]
[Only Elodie is worthy of Knox.]
Someone brought me up: [You guys don't know, Knox got catfished by a fat pig online for over a year. Nearly made him puke. Finally, he found someone worth his heart. Congrats!]
Elodie replied: [Wait, what fat pig?]
The guy filled her in.
Mockery spread through the group like wildfire.
[A creature like that dared to dream about Knox? Laughable. Sickening just to think about.]
[Unloved in real life, so she catfished online. Classic.]
[Word is she wanted to get into Hollowcrest Lycan University with Knox. Is she in our freshman class? I'm dying to see how ugly she is.]
Elodie feigned sympathy: [She's probably insecure. Being ugly isn't her fault, but lying to him? That's wrong.]
Knox: [Don't bring up the past. Makes me sick. Glad I found you now.]
Knox had no idea I was lurking in the channel on an alt account, watching every word.
Someone asked: [Knox, what's her name? Might bump into her when school starts.]
Knox: [Nessa.]
[Sounds basic as hell.]
I switched back to my main account and applied to join the freshman channel.
Display name updated: Nessa Arden.
Dead silence fell over the group.
But I knew everyone was watching, waiting for the drama to unfold.
A few minutes later, Elodie sent two messages.
[Welcome, newbie!]
[By the way, Nessa, there's a freshman party on the 3rd. Are you coming?]
Followed by a sweet-smiling wolf-ear emoji.
I saw right through her-she wanted to watch me get humiliated in public.
A smirk touched my lips as I typed a brief reply:
[I'll be there.]
