The day of the wedding arrived faster than Avery expected.
The Foster estate had been transformed into a beautiful garden venue.
White roses covered the arches.
Soft lights hung between the trees.
A long aisle stretched toward a floral altar overlooking the lake.
This wedding was nothing like the first one.
The first ceremony had been quiet and lonely.
Avery had walked down the aisle alone.
Today, every person she loved was waiting for her.
Rosalie helped adjust the final details of her dress.
"You look beautiful," she said through teary eyes.
"Thank you."
"Are you nervous?"
"A little."
"Happy?"
Avery smiled.
"Very."
Rosalie hugged her tightly.
"Then that's all that matters."
Outside, Elliot stood beneath the flower-covered arch.
He wore a perfectly tailored black tuxedo.
For once, the powerful businessman looked nervous.
His hands were clasped behind his back.
Marcus quietly approached him.
"Mr. Foster, you look like you're preparing for a board meeting."
"This is more important."
"True," Marcus said with a smile.
"You're finally marrying your wife willingly."
Elliot looked toward the garden entrance.
"The first time, I wasn't even awake."
"Today, I know exactly who I'm choosing."
The music began.
Every guest turned toward the aisle.
Avery appeared at the entrance.
Her ivory dress flowed gently behind her.
The sunlight touched her veil as she slowly walked forward.
Elliot's eyes never left her.
For a moment, everything else disappeared.
The guests.
The music.
The decorations.
There was only Avery.
When she reached him, Elliot quietly whispered,
"You came."
Avery smiled.
"I told you I wasn't going anywhere."
The officiant began the ceremony.
"Today we celebrate a marriage that began unexpectedly..."
"But became a choice made freely by two people who found love in the middle of difficult circumstances."
Elliot took Avery's hands.
"The first time you became my wife, I didn't have the chance to choose you."
"Today, I do."
"I choose you with complete certainty."
"I promise to protect your dreams without controlling them."
"To respect your independence without ever making you feel alone."
"And to stand beside you through every season of our lives."
Avery's eyes filled with tears.
Then it was her turn.
"When I first married you, I thought I was sacrificing my future to save my father."
"I never imagined that the man I married while he was unconscious would one day become the person I trusted most."
"You taught me that love can begin after fear."
"You taught me that being protected doesn't mean being powerless."
"And you gave me something I had never had before..."
"A home where I belong."
Elliot gently squeezed her hands.
"I promise to choose you too."
"Not because I'm your wife."
"Because you're Avery."
"The woman I love."
The guests applauded warmly.
Rosalie wiped tears from her cheeks.
Even Marcus looked away for a moment.
The officiant smiled.
"Then by the promises you've made today..."
"I pronounce you husband and wife once again."
"You may kiss."
Elliot gently lifted Avery's veil.
Their eyes met.
Then he kissed her softly.
The garden erupted in applause.
White petals floated through the air.
For Avery, this moment repaired something she hadn't realized was still broken.
The first wedding had been about survival.
This one was about love.
Later that evening, the celebration continued.
Music filled the garden.
Family members danced.
Friends shared stories.
Avery and Elliot stood together beneath the stars.
"Are you happy?" Elliot asked.
"More than I ever imagined."
"Good."
"Because I have another surprise."
Avery laughed.
"You and your surprises."
"Come with me."
He led her toward a quiet part of the garden.
A small wooden sign stood beside a newly planted tree.
Avery stepped closer.
Her eyes widened.
The sign read:
"The Foster-Tate Family Garden."
"You planted this?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because your family and mine were once divided by money, betrayal, and resentment."
"I wanted something here that represented what we built instead."
Avery touched the small tree gently.
"It's beautiful."
"It will grow with us," Elliot said.
"And with our family someday."
Avery looked at him.
"Our family?"
He smiled.
"I'm hoping for one."
Avery laughed softly.
"You're planning far ahead."
"I'm a businessman."
"Planning is what I do."
She leaned against his shoulder.
"Then let's see what the future brings."
Above them, the stars filled the sky.
The woman who had once married a man lying unconscious...
Was now standing beside him by choice.
And Elliot, who once hated the idea of a marriage he hadn't chosen...
Had never been more certain of anything in his life.
