The months passed quickly as Serenity's pregnancy progressed.
Zachary became even more protective than before.
"Don't carry that," he would say whenever Serenity reached for anything heavier than a book.
"Zachary," Serenity laughed one afternoon.
"It's only a shopping bag."
"It's still too heavy."
"You're impossible."
"I'm a future father," he replied proudly.
"It's my job to worry."
Grandma May couldn't stop smiling whenever she visited.
"He's worse than I was when my children were born," she joked.
"He checks on Serenity every ten minutes."
The entire York family eagerly waited for the baby's arrival.
Callum had already filled one room of the estate with toys.
"The baby's not even here yet," Ben teased.
"Preparation is important," Callum answered confidently.
"Or maybe you're just excited to become an uncle."
"Very excited," Callum admitted.
One rainy evening, Serenity gently touched her stomach.
"Zachary," she whispered.
"Come here."
He immediately hurried over.
"What happened?"
"The baby just kicked."
"Really?"
She guided his hand to her stomach.
A tiny movement pressed gently against his palm.
Zachary froze.
His eyes widened with amazement.
"Did you feel that?" Serenity asked.
"Yes," he whispered.
"Our baby..."
"Said hello."
Neither of them spoke for several moments.
They simply smiled at each other.
Two months later...
Late one evening, Serenity suddenly felt a sharp pain.
"Zachary..."
"I think it's time."
Within minutes, the York family rushed to the hospital.
Hours felt like days.
Zachary paced nervously outside the delivery room.
"Sit down," Grandma May laughed.
"You're making everyone else nervous."
"I can't."
"What if something goes wrong?"
"Trust Serenity," Grandma May replied gently.
"She's stronger than you realize."
Finally...
The delivery room doors opened.
The doctor stepped outside wearing a warm smile.
"Congratulations, Mr. York."
"Your wife is healthy."
"And so is your daughter."
"A daughter?" Zachary whispered.
"Yes."
"Would you like to meet her?"
He entered the room quietly.
Serenity looked exhausted but radiant.
She cradled a tiny baby wrapped in a soft white blanket.
"Meet your daughter," she whispered.
Zachary carefully held the baby for the first time.
The little girl opened her tiny eyes for just a moment before peacefully falling asleep again.
A single tear rolled down Zachary's cheek.
"She's perfect," he whispered.
"Just like her mother."
Serenity smiled.
"Have you thought of a name?"
"I have," Zachary replied.
"What about Hope?"
"Because she reminds us that hope brought us together."
Serenity's eyes filled with happy tears.
"Hope York," she repeated softly.
"I love it."
Outside the room, Grandma May happily announced the news.
"It's a girl!"
The York family erupted into joyful cheers.
Flowers quickly filled the hospital room.
Friends, employees, and community members sent hundreds of congratulations.
The next morning, newspapers across Wiltspoon celebrated the happy news.
"York Family Welcomes Baby Hope."
"A New Chapter Begins for the City's Most Beloved Couple."
Holding his wife with one arm and his newborn daughter with the other, Zachary realized that every success in business meant nothing compared to this moment.
His greatest achievement...
Was the family he and Serenity had built together.
