Three months after their engagement, the entire city of Glendale eagerly awaited the wedding.
This time, there were no rumors.
No scandals.
No forced arrangements.
Only blessings from everyone who had witnessed their journey.
Madeline stood in front of the mirror wearing a breathtaking white wedding gown.
Unlike five years ago...
There were no tears in her eyes.
Only peace.
Her best friend smiled warmly.
"You look beautiful."
"Are you nervous?"
Madeline laughed softly.
"A little."
"Not because I'm afraid..."
"But because this time, I'm marrying the man I love."
At another room in the church, Jeremy adjusted his black tuxedo.
His hands trembled slightly.
"Mr. Whitman," his assistant joked.
"You've negotiated billion-dollar contracts without breaking a sweat."
"Why are you nervous today?"
Jeremy smiled.
"Because this is the only contract I never want to break."
Outside, hundreds of guests gathered.
Business leaders.
Friends.
Family.
Even people who had once doubted them came to witness their new beginning.
The church doors slowly opened.
Soft music echoed through the hall.
Madeline stepped inside.
Jeremy looked toward the entrance.
For a moment...
The entire world disappeared.
All he could see was her.
The woman he had once taken for granted.
The woman who had taught him the true meaning of love.
Madeline slowly walked down the aisle.
This time...
She wasn't walking toward uncertainty.
She was walking toward hope.
Jeremy's eyes filled with tears.
"You look amazing," he whispered as she reached him.
"You're crying," Madeline teased gently.
"I know."
"I'm not ashamed of it anymore."
The officiant smiled warmly.
"Today, we are not simply celebrating a marriage."
"We are celebrating forgiveness, growth, and second chances."
Jeremy took Madeline's hands.
"Five years ago," he began.
"I promised you nothing except pain."
"Today..."
"I promise to respect you."
"To trust you."
"To stand beside you."
"To choose you every single day for the rest of my life."
Madeline smiled through her tears.
"Jeremy..."
"I don't promise to never argue with you."
The guests laughed softly.
"I don't promise life will always be easy."
"But I promise we'll face every challenge together."
"As equals."
"As partners."
"As family."
The officiant nodded happily.
"May I have the rings?"
A small voice answered proudly.
"I've got them!"
Ethan carefully walked forward carrying the ring pillow.
"Dad... don't drop it," he whispered.
Jeremy laughed.
"I'll try my best."
After exchanging rings, the officiant smiled brightly.
"By the power vested in me..."
"I now pronounce you husband and wife."
"You may kiss your bride."
Jeremy gently cupped Madeline's face.
"May I?" he asked quietly.
Madeline smiled.
"You don't have to ask anymore."
Their kiss was soft.
Gentle.
Filled with years of healing and forgiveness.
The church erupted into applause.
Outside, flower petals filled the air.
Reporters waited beyond the gates.
Jeremy and Madeline walked out hand in hand.
Not hiding from the world anymore.
But embracing it together.
At the wedding reception, Ethan climbed onto the stage.
"Can I say something?"
Everyone smiled.
"Go ahead," Jeremy encouraged.
"I used to draw pictures of my family because I wished I had one."
"Now..."
"I don't have to imagine anymore."
"Because my family is finally complete."
There wasn't a single dry eye in the room.
Jeremy hugged Ethan tightly.
Madeline wrapped her arms around both of them.
That night, beneath countless stars, Jeremy looked at his wife.
"Thank you for believing I could become a better man."
Madeline gently squeezed his hand.
"You became one because you chose to."
"I only gave you the chance."
Jeremy smiled.
"Then I'll spend the rest of my life proving your choice was the right one."
Madeline rested her head against his shoulder.
"I know you will."
Together, they watched the fireworks illuminate the night sky.
Their past had been filled with heartbreak.
Their present was filled with happiness.
And their future...
Had only just begun.
