Three months later...
Life had changed completely for Emily Hart.
The fear that had once followed her everywhere was finally gone.
Victor Kane and Richard Hart had both been convicted after months of investigation.
Robert Hart's evidence helped authorities recover millions of dollars in stolen assets.
His bravery was recognized across the country.
The Robert Hart Foundation officially opened at Steele Empire's headquarters.
Students from underprivileged families gathered for the inauguration ceremony.
Emily stood proudly beside Dominic as reporters filled the hall.
"Today isn't just about honoring my father," Emily said during her speech.
"It's about choosing honesty over greed, courage over fear, and hope over despair."
"My father believed that one honest person could change the world."
"Today, I believe that too."
The audience erupted into applause.
Dominic couldn't take his eyes off her.
Marcus leaned closer and whispered with a grin.
"She's incredible."
"She always has been," Dominic replied proudly.
After the ceremony, Emily's mother hugged Dominic warmly.
"Thank you for bringing peace back into our lives," she said.
Dominic smiled.
"Emily did that herself."
"I only stood beside her."
A week later, Steele Empire held its annual corporate gala.
Emily walked into the ballroom wearing a stunning emerald-green evening gown.
Every conversation seemed to pause for a moment.
Dominic crossed the room with a smile that only belonged to her.
"You look beautiful," he said.
"Thank you."
"You don't look so bad yourself," Emily teased.
He laughed softly.
"Dance with me?"
"Always."
As the orchestra played a slow melody, Dominic wrapped one arm around her waist while Emily rested her head against his shoulder.
"Do you ever think about how we met?" Emily asked with a smile.
"Every single day."
"I never imagined one night would completely change my life."
"Neither did I," Dominic admitted.
"But I'd choose that night all over again."
"So would I."
When the music ended, Dominic gently stepped back.
"There's one more thing I need to do."
Emily looked at him curiously.
He reached into his jacket pocket and slowly knelt on one knee.
The entire ballroom fell silent.
Marcus smiled knowingly from across the room.
Dominic opened a small velvet box.
Inside sparkled a breathtaking diamond ring.
"Emily Hart," he said softly.
"You walked into my office as my secretary..."
"Then became my partner..."
"My best friend..."
"And the love of my life."
"Will you marry me?"
Emily's eyes instantly filled with tears.
She laughed through happy sobs.
"Yes."
"Yes, Dominic."
"A thousand times yes!"
The ballroom exploded into applause.
Dominic slipped the ring onto her finger before standing and pulling her into a warm embrace.
"I love you," he whispered.
"I love you more," Emily replied.
"Impossible."
"Want to bet?"
They both laughed.
Six months later...
The wedding took place at Steele Estate under a clear blue sky.
Friends, family, and colleagues gathered to celebrate.
Emily walked down the aisle wearing a beautiful white gown while Dominic waited with unmistakable emotion in his eyes.
"I never believed in fate," Dominic whispered after exchanging vows.
"Until you walked into my life."
"Maybe fate believed in us long before we did," Emily answered.
They shared their first kiss as husband and wife while cheers echoed throughout the garden.
Marcus smiled proudly.
"Now that's a happy ending."
One year later...
Emily stood in Dominic's office once again.
But this time, she wasn't carrying files.
She held a small gift box.
"What's this?" Dominic asked.
"Open it."
He lifted the lid.
Inside rested a tiny pair of baby shoes.
Dominic stared silently before looking back at Emily.
"Are you..."
Emily nodded with a radiant smile.
"You're going to be a daddy."
For the first time in years, the powerful CEO completely lost his composure.
He laughed.
He cried.
Then he pulled Emily into the tightest hug imaginable.
"This is the best business deal I've ever made," he joked.
"Marrying you?" Emily laughed.
"No."
"Falling in love with you."
Together they looked out through the office windows toward the city that had once witnessed heartbreak, danger, betrayal, and loss.
Now it witnessed hope.
A family.
A future built on trust.
And a love that had started with one unforgettable night... but lasted forever.
