The doctors immediately began performing emergency treatment.
"Move back!" one of them shouted.
Sebastian stood frozen.
Sabrina clasped her hands together, silently praying.
"Please... don't let anything happen to Grandpa."
Several tense minutes passed.
Finally, Arthur's heartbeat returned to normal.
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"He's stable," the doctor announced.
"But his condition is getting worse."
"He needs complete rest."
Sebastian nodded.
"Thank you, Doctor."
As the doctors left the room, Arthur slowly opened his eyes.
His weak gaze searched the room until it landed on Sabrina.
"Child... come closer."
She immediately knelt beside him.
"I'm here, Grandpa."
Arthur squeezed her hand weakly.
"Don't... blame Sebastian..."
"He doesn't know..."
"Know what?" Sabrina asked gently.
Arthur glanced toward Sebastian.
"Leave us... alone..."
Sebastian frowned.
"Grandpa..."
"Please."
Reluctantly, Sebastian left the room.
Only Sabrina remained beside Arthur.
The old man reached beneath his blanket and handed her a small silver key.
"Keep this safe..."
"What's it for?"
"A locker... at First National Bank."
"Inside... you'll find everything."
"Everything?"
"The truth about... your mother..."
Sabrina's eyes widened.
"You really knew my mother?"
Arthur nodded weakly.
"She saved... my life... many years ago."
"There's more... but..."
A violent coughing fit interrupted him.
The doctors hurried back inside.
"Chairman needs to rest immediately."
"No more talking."
Arthur looked at Sabrina one last time.
"Promise me..."
"Don't let anyone... have that key... except you..."
"I promise," Sabrina whispered.
She quietly slipped the small key into her pocket.
Outside the bedroom, Sebastian was waiting.
"What did Grandpa tell you?"
Sabrina hesitated.
She remembered Arthur's request.
"Nothing important."
Sebastian stared into her eyes.
"You're lying."
"I'm not."
"Grandpa has never asked to speak with anyone alone."
"Why you?"
"I don't know."
Sebastian remained silent.
For the first time, he realized his grandfather trusted Sabrina more than him.
That realization irritated him.
The following morning, Sebastian left early for the company.
Arthur was sleeping peacefully.
Sabrina quietly entered the kitchen.
She prepared herbal soup for Arthur, following one of her mother's old recipes.
While carrying the tray upstairs, she accidentally overheard two servants talking.
"Did you hear?"
"Young Master is investigating Madam's past."
"He even hired private detectives."
"He still doesn't trust her."
Sabrina stopped walking.
Her heart slowly sank.
No matter what she did...
Sebastian still believed she was hiding something.
At Ford Group Headquarters, Sebastian met with his private investigator.
"Did you find anything?"
"Very little, sir."
"Someone erased almost every record of Miss Scott before her imprisonment."
"Erased?"
"Yes."
"School records, employment history, financial accounts... they're all incomplete."
Sebastian frowned.
"That's impossible."
"Exactly."
"Someone with tremendous influence intentionally removed her identity."
"Who would do that?"
"We don't know yet."
"Continue investigating."
"Yes, Mr. Ford."
Meanwhile, Sabrina quietly left the mansion.
She took a bus across the city.
Finally, she arrived at First National Bank.
She stared at the silver key in her hand.
"What could Grandpa possibly be hiding?"
Inside the private vault area, the manager verified the key.
"Please follow me, Miss Scott."
He unlocked an old safety deposit box.
Sabrina slowly opened it.
Inside were several documents...
A leather notebook...
And an old photograph.
She picked up the photograph first.
Her hands immediately began shaking.
The picture showed Arthur Ford...
Her mother...
...and a little girl.
The little girl was herself.
"Why... was I with Grandpa?"
Confused, she opened the notebook.
The first page contained Arthur's handwriting.
"If Sabrina is reading this, then the truth can no longer remain hidden."
Before she could continue reading, her phone suddenly rang.
It was the butler.
"Young Madam!"
"Please come back immediately!"
"What's wrong?"
"Young Master has been in a terrible car accident!"
The notebook slipped from Sabrina's trembling hands.
"What...?"
"He's currently being rushed to City Central Hospital."
"The doctors aren't sure he'll survive."
Without another word, Sabrina grabbed the notebook, locked the safety box, and ran out of the bank.
As she disappeared into the crowded street, she failed to notice a man in a black suit watching her from across the road.
The man quietly picked up his phone.
"Boss," he whispered.
"She opened Arthur Ford's safety deposit box."
"Should we take the documents now?"
A cold voice answered from the other end.
"No."
"Follow her."
"The game has only just begun."
