So now Sophia and the Wilson Family were even, but the debt that the Wilson Family owed her would always remain unpaid.
Sophia's actions made the Wilson Family feel like she was serious, and it also made them feel embarrassed.
Mrs. Wilson couldn't accept that Sophia, who had been so obedient since returning, would act so rebelliously.
She slammed her hand on the table, her face full of anger, and said, "Fine, if you want to leave, then leave."
"But once you step out of the Wilson Family's door today, don't ever think about coming back."
She believed that her own daughter would never truly abandon the Wilson Family.
Just like Amelia said, this was a strategy of letting go to gain control, using the threat of leaving to manipulate them.
If Sophia succeeded this time, who knows what trouble she would cause in the future.
Mrs. Wilson letting Sophia go wasn't really about wanting her to leave, but a warning for her not to cause too much trouble.
No one else spoke, clearly sharing Mrs. Wilson's thoughts.
Sophia could tell what they were thinking.
They believed she couldn't leave the Wilson Family.
"Once I leave, I won't come back."
With that, she grabbed her suitcase, without a hint of nostalgia, and turned to leave.
Mr. Wilson spoke up when he saw this, "Stop causing trouble. Amelia won't want your entertainment resources anymore."
"In the future, I will have your Second Brother fight for better resources for you."
After all, she was their own daughter. They couldn't really let her go.
Sophia turned to look at Mr. Wilson indifferently, "Are you using resources to insult me?"
Mr. Wilson frowned, "I didn't mean that. I just want to tell you that since we found you, we will compensate you."
Sophia found it ridiculous, "I really appreciate your compensation."
"Over this past year, I have experienced your cold violence, complaints, and disdain deeply."
"So I really can't accept your compensation."
Mr. Wilson was taken aback. Looking at Sophia's stubbornness, he sighed and asked, "What do you want then?"
He had been very busy and had indeed neglected this biological daughter for over a year.
Sophia said, "Cut off ties. It's that simple."
"No need to contact me in the future. I'm leaving."
Mr. Wilson was infuriated by Sophia's attitude, and the faces of the five Wilson brothers were not pleasant either.
Especially Maximus Wilson, with a hint of complexity and anger in his eyes, looked at Sophia and said, "You're still blaming me after all this time."
"Shouldn't I blame you?" she replied coldly. "You lost me back then, had me taken by traffickers, and almost sold to the mountains to be abused."
"Do I owe you a debt of gratitude for losing me back then?" she asked Maximus with raised eyebrows.
Maximus turned red and then pale. "I didn't mean to back then. I didn't even know you were almost sold to the mountains."
"Just because it wasn't intentional, does that erase the fact that you lost me and changed my life?" Sophia retorted.
After Maximus lost her and she returned to the Wilson Family, he had shown more kindness and care towards her compared to her four other brothers and Mr. and Mrs. Wilson, as if trying to make up for his past mistakes. But whenever she had conflicts with Amelia, he always sided with Amelia. Such a brother — who needs one.
Sophia's words left Maximus at a loss for words. Although he didn't mean to back then, he did lose his younger sister for so many years, leaving her to wander without enjoying the life of a wealthy elite Miss.
"And I'll say it again, I no longer care about any of you, so I have no interest in competing with Amelia," Sophia added.
Ulysses frowned and warned, "Think carefully. If you cut ties with the Wilson Family, don't expect any resources from the company."
Big brother Yorick Wilson added, "We might even blacklist and block you."
Their words were meant to make Sophia reconsider and give up her stubbornness for the sake of her future.
But Sophia suddenly laughed, "It's as if you've given me so many resources in the past year."
"When I joined the Wilson Family's entertainment company, the resources I received were not even close to what my old company, which often exploited me, had provided."
"Not only are the resources scarce and poor, but I've been attacked online and you didn't even do any public relations for me."
"The resources I found on my own, you want to snatch them away and give them to Amelia. You have the nerve to use this as a threat against me."
"I've seen shameless people, but I've never seen anyone as shameless as you."
As she watched their faces darken, Sophia continued, "Luckily, I didn't sign a contract with the company when I joined, so I don't have to worry about terminating it now."
