Three weeks passed after the battle that changed the kingdom forever.
The damaged palace walls had been rebuilt, the wounded had recovered, and peace slowly returned to the land. Markets reopened, children laughed in the streets once again, and for the first time in generations, both wolves and humans walked through the capital without fear.
Yet inside the Royal Palace, preparations were underway for an event unlike any in history.
The coronation of the first Human Alpha Queen.
Servants rushed through the halls hanging silver banners embroidered with the royal crest.
Musicians practiced in the grand ballroom.
Nobles from every pack across the continent arrived to witness history.
Many came out of curiosity.
Others came with doubt.
But all of them came.
Inside her chamber, Micaela stood before a large mirror while Clara carefully adjusted the silver gown resting upon her shoulders.
"You look beautiful," Clara whispered.
Micaela smiled nervously.
"I don't feel like a queen."
"That's exactly why you'll become a great one."
Lady Eleanor entered carrying an elegant silver crown.
"Your Majesty," she said with a warm smile.
"Please... don't call me that yet."
"In a few minutes, I won't have a choice."
The older woman gently placed the crown upon a velvet cushion.
"Your mother would be proud."
Micaela's eyes filled with tears.
"I wish she were here."
"She is," Lady Eleanor replied softly.
"Every decision you make carries the love she sacrificed everything to protect."
Meanwhile...
The Alpha King stood alone inside the royal throne room.
Marcus approached quietly.
"Everything is ready, Your Majesty."
"Good."
"Are you nervous?"
The King chuckled softly.
"Terrified."
Marcus laughed.
"The most feared Alpha in history... afraid of a ceremony?"
"Not the ceremony."
"Then what?"
"Failing her."
Marcus looked at his King with quiet respect.
"You won't."
"Because she already changed you."
The King looked toward the enormous palace doors.
"No..."
"She reminded me who I was before the world taught me to become cold."
Outside...
Thousands of citizens filled the palace courtyard.
For the first time in living memory, humans stood beside wolves without chains separating them.
The atmosphere was filled with hope.
The grand doors slowly opened.
The Alpha King stepped onto the royal platform.
The crowd immediately fell silent.
Moments later...
Micaela appeared.
Wearing a flowing silver gown embroidered with moonlit wolves and white phoenixes.
The royal crown rested gently upon her chest, waiting to be placed upon her head.
Gasps spread through the crowd.
"She's beautiful."
"The prophecy was true."
"The Moon Goddess chose wisely."
The King extended his hand.
Micaela accepted it.
Together they walked toward the ancient throne.
Selene stepped forward carrying the Crown of the First Alpha Queen.
"For one thousand years," she announced.
"This crown has waited for its rightful heir."
"Today... it finally returns home."
She lifted the crown.
The silver jewels shimmered beneath the sunlight.
Slowly...
She placed it upon Micaela's head.
The moment it touched her hair...
The entire palace glowed with brilliant moonlight.
A warm breeze swept across the kingdom.
Every wolf instinctively lowered their head.
Even the strongest Alphas knelt.
Not out of obligation.
Out of respect.
The Moon Goddess had spoken without words.
She had accepted her Queen.
"Long live the Alpha King!"
"Long live Queen Micaela!"
The cheers echoed across the capital.
Micaela looked toward the people gathered before her.
Humans.
Wolves.
Children.
Elders.
For the first time...
They stood together.
She stepped forward.
"For generations... fear ruled this kingdom."
"Humans feared wolves."
"Wolves feared betrayal."
"Families were divided."
"Lives were destroyed."
"Today... that ends."
The crowd listened silently.
"I was born human."
"I was raised as a servant."
"Today I stand before you as your Queen."
"Not because I sought power..."
"But because kindness proved stronger than hatred."
"From this day forward..."
"No human will live as a slave."
"No child will inherit fear simply because of their birth."
"This kingdom belongs to all who protect it."
Silence.
Then...
Thunderous applause erupted.
Humans cried openly.
Wolves raised their fists proudly.
The Alpha King looked at her with unmistakable admiration.
"You've already become a better ruler than I ever was," he whispered.
She smiled.
"Then we'll rule together."
"Always."
He gently took her hand.
The glowing mate marks upon their wrists shone brightly.
High above them...
The clouds slowly parted.
A full moon appeared despite the afternoon sky.
Selene smiled.
"The Moon Goddess approves."
Later that evening...
The palace celebrated long into the night.
Music echoed through every corridor.
Humans danced beside wolves.
Laughter replaced centuries of fear.
Marcus finally smiled without worrying about politics.
Clara cried happily while watching her lifelong friend become Queen.
Even Lady Eleanor admitted she had never witnessed such hope inside the palace.
Standing alone on the palace balcony, Micaela looked across the peaceful kingdom.
The Alpha King joined her quietly.
"Thinking about the future?"
"Yes."
"Are you afraid?"
"A little."
"Good."
"Why?"
"Because only people who fear making the wrong choices ever become truly good leaders."
She rested her head against his shoulder.
"We'll have challenges ahead."
"Many."
"But we'll face them together."
"Always."
He kissed her forehead gently.
Far above them, the moon illuminated the kingdom with its silver light.
The ancient prophecy had finally come true.
The Human Mate had become the Alpha Queen.
And with her beside the Alpha King...
A new era of peace had finally begun.
