The morning sun rose over the Crescent Mountains.
For the first time in centuries, the Temple of the First Wolf stood in complete silence.
The corruption that had consumed its halls was gone.
Only peace remained.
Jaxon stood at the entrance beside Sable.
Together they watched the sunlight spread across the valley below.
"It's over," Sable whispered.
Jaxon smiled.
"Yes."
"It finally is."
Behind them, Ethan stretched his sore shoulders.
"Next time someone mentions an ancient prophecy..."
"I'm pretending I didn't hear it."
Cedric laughed.
"Somehow I don't believe you."
"Neither do I," Jasper added.
Everyone shared a quiet laugh.
It was the first genuine laughter any of them had experienced in what felt like forever.
Magnus slowly approached the group.
"My duty ends here," he said.
"The Temple no longer needs a guardian."
"Its greatest treasure isn't hidden inside anymore."
He looked at Jaxon and Sable.
"You carry it within your hearts."
The Moon Goddess appeared one final time.
Silver light surrounded the ancient Temple.
"The First Wolf Kingdom once fell because its leaders forgot that power exists to serve others," she said.
"Today... that mistake has been corrected."
She looked at Jasper.
"Bloodlust Pack will no longer stand as an enemy."
Jasper lowered his head respectfully.
"I swear it."
"From this day forward, Bloodlust and Winter Moon will stand together."
The Goddess nodded.
She then turned to all the gathered Alphas and warriors.
"Let the old hatred end here."
"Build a future worthy of those who sacrificed everything for it."
Her form slowly dissolved into countless silver lights.
The blessing of the Temple faded with her.
The journey home took several days.
News of Lucien's defeat spread faster than anyone expected.
Pack after pack sent representatives to Winter Moon.
Former enemies arrived without weapons.
Old alliances were restored.
New friendships were born.
Within a month...
The largest gathering of Alphas in history assembled inside Winter Moon's Great Hall.
Jaxon stood before them.
"For generations, we've measured strength by the size of our armies," he began.
"Today, I ask you to measure it differently."
"Protect your people."
"Honor your promises."
"Stand beside one another instead of against one another."
"If we do that..."
"There will never be another Lucien."
One by one...
The Alphas bowed their heads.
A new alliance was formed.
Not through conquest.
But through trust.
Several weeks later...
Winter Moon celebrated once again.
This time...
There were no battles.
No prophecies.
Only joy.
The pack gathered beneath thousands of glowing lanterns.
Flowers decorated every path leading to the ceremonial platform.
Sable stood beneath the ancient Moon Tree wearing a beautiful silver and white Luna gown.
Her auburn hair flowed softly over her shoulders.
She looked toward Jaxon.
He wore traditional Alpha ceremonial attire trimmed in silver.
Their eyes met.
Neither looked away.
Ethan stood beside Jaxon with an enormous grin.
"About time," he whispered.
"I was beginning to think you'd make everyone wait another year."
Jaxon chuckled quietly.
"You've never been patient."
"True."
Magnus stepped forward to conduct the ceremony.
"Today, we celebrate not only a union between two souls..."
"But the beginning of a new era for every pack."
He looked toward Jaxon.
"Do you, Jaxon Docker, accept Sable Embers as your Luna, your equal, and your partner in every season of life?"
"With all my heart," Jaxon answered.
"Always."
Magnus turned toward Sable.
"Do you, Sable Embers, accept Jaxon Docker as your Alpha, your mate, and your greatest companion?"
Tears filled her amber eyes.
"I do."
"Always."
As they joined hands...
The completed mate bond burst into brilliant silver light.
The full moon appeared above the celebration despite the afternoon sky.
A gentle breeze carried the scent of lavender and pine through the gathering.
Every wolf present instinctively looked toward the heavens.
"The Moon Goddess blesses this union," Cedric whispered.
Jaxon gently cupped Sable's face.
"You once told me justice mattered more than revenge," he said softly.
"You were right."
"And you taught me that love isn't weakness," Sable replied.
"It's the greatest strength we have."
He kissed her.
The entire pack erupted into cheers.
Months turned into years.
The alliance between the packs only grew stronger.
Trade replaced war.
Children from different packs trained together.
Old borders slowly disappeared.
Winter Moon became known not as the richest kingdom...
Nor the strongest...
But the fairest.
Five years later...
A little boy with dark hair raced across the courtyard, laughing as a small girl with auburn curls chased after him.
"Slow down!" Sable called, laughing.
"They're just like you," Ethan teased Jaxon.
"Stubborn?"
"Completely."
Jaxon smiled as he watched his family.
His gaze lifted toward the night sky.
The full moon shone brightly above Winter Moon.
For the first time since Giselle's betrayal years ago...
His heart carried no pain.
Only gratitude.
He reached for Sable's hand.
She intertwined her fingers with his.
"What are you thinking about?" she asked.
Jaxon looked at the moon before smiling at her.
"That sometimes the Moon Goddess doesn't give us the life we expect..."
"She gives us the life we need."
Sable rested her head against his shoulder.
"And I'd choose this life..."
"Every single time."
Under the silver moonlight, surrounded by family, friends, and a kingdom finally at peace...
The Alpha who had once sworn never to love again realized that his greatest victory had never been winning a war.
It had been opening his heart.
And beside the woman who had chosen him just as he had chosen her...
He knew their story was no longer one of betrayal.
It was one of hope.
