Sebastian immediately grabbed his car keys.
"Prepare the security team," he ordered.
"No," his assistant replied.
"The note specifically says you must come alone."
Sebastian looked at the paper again.
"They're trying to trap me."
"Even so... I can't abandon Grandpa."
Without another word, he drove toward the abandoned Scott Clinic.
Meanwhile, Sabrina woke to find Arthur missing.
The butler handed her the ransom note.
Her face turned pale.
"No... Grandpa..."
Ignoring everyone's protests, she secretly left the mansion and followed Sebastian.
An hour later...
The old Scott Clinic stood abandoned on the outskirts of the city.
Broken windows.
Collapsed walls.
Dust covered every corner.
Sebastian cautiously stepped inside.
"Grandpa!" he called.
"Arthur!"
Only silence answered him.
Suddenly, slow applause echoed through the hallway.
Tiffany Lynn emerged from the shadows.
"Welcome, Mr. Ford."
"I've been expecting you."
Sebastian's expression turned icy.
"Where is my grandfather?"
Tiffany smiled.
"Safe... for now."
"You came alone."
"Good."
"You wanted me here."
"Now release him."
"Not until you hand over Arthur's notebook and Sabrina's evidence."
"I don't have them."
"Then we'll wait for Sabrina."
"I know she'll come."
Almost as if on cue, footsteps echoed outside.
"Sebastian!"
Sabrina ran into the clinic.
"What are you doing here?" Sebastian asked angrily.
"I couldn't let you face this alone."
Tiffany laughed.
"How touching."
"Two fools willing to die together."
She snapped her fingers.
Armed men surrounded the building.
Sabrina instinctively stepped in front of Sebastian.
"Stay behind me," she whispered.
Sebastian frowned.
"You should be protecting yourself."
"You're injured."
"I can still fight."
"Not like this."
For a brief moment, they looked at each other.
The distance between them seemed to disappear.
Tiffany's voice interrupted.
"Enough."
"Bring Arthur in."
Two men dragged Arthur into the room.
His hands were tied, but he remained calm.
"Grandpa!" Sabrina cried.
"Don't worry about me," Arthur replied.
"Protect yourselves."
Tiffany pointed a gun at Arthur.
"One last chance."
"Give me the notebook."
"Never," Arthur answered firmly.
"Then he dies."
Before Tiffany could pull the trigger, Sebastian suddenly stepped forward.
"Stop!"
"I'll trade myself for him."
Everyone froze.
"Sebastian!" Sabrina shouted.
"No!"
"He protected me my entire life," Sebastian said quietly.
"It's my turn to protect him."
Tiffany smiled wickedly.
"How noble."
"Fine."
"Drop your weapon."
Sebastian slowly placed his gun on the floor.
The moment he did, Sabrina secretly noticed Arthur signaling toward an old cabinet.
She quietly moved closer.
Behind the broken cabinet was a hidden safe.
Remembering her mother's letter, she searched frantically.
Inside the safe was a small recorder and several legal documents.
"I found it!" she shouted.
Tiffany's smile instantly vanished.
"No!"
"Take it from her!"
One of the bodyguards rushed toward Sabrina.
Sebastian tackled him before he could reach her.
A violent fight broke out inside the clinic.
Gunshots echoed through the building.
Arthur managed to free himself and pushed Tiffany's arm away.
The bullet struck the ceiling instead.
Police sirens suddenly sounded outside.
The entire clinic was surrounded.
The detective entered with dozens of officers.
"Police! Nobody move!"
Tiffany tried to escape through the back door.
Sabrina blocked her path.
"It's over."
"You ruined my family."
"You framed innocent people."
"And today... the truth finally wins."
The police handcuffed Tiffany.
She glared at Sabrina.
"You think you've won?"
"The truth always survives," Sabrina replied calmly.
Later that evening, everyone gathered at the mansion.
The recorder recovered from the clinic contained a full confession from the late head of the Lynn family.
It proved Sabrina's parents had been framed.
It also proved Sabrina's imprisonment had been arranged by Tiffany Lynn.
Every accusation against Sabrina was officially cleared.
Sebastian quietly walked toward her.
"I'm sorry," he said sincerely.
"I judged you before knowing the truth."
"I failed you as your husband."
Sabrina looked at him silently.
For a long moment, neither of them spoke.
Finally, she smiled faintly.
"Trust isn't rebuilt in a single day, Sebastian."
"I know," he answered.
"Then let me spend the rest of my life earning it."
Arthur smiled as he watched them.
"Some wounds take time to heal," he whispered.
"But at least... the truth has finally come home."
