The room fell silent.
Sebastian stared at the photograph lying on the bedside table.
It clearly showed Sabrina standing near his car that morning.
The detective spoke carefully.
"Mrs. Ford's fingerprints were found on the driver's side door."
"Several witnesses also saw her near the parking area before your departure."
Sabrina's sleepy eyes widened.
"That's impossible!"
"I never touched the brakes!"
The detective remained calm.
"We're only reporting the evidence."
"Whether you're guilty is still under investigation."
Sebastian looked at Sabrina without saying a word.
His expression was unreadable.
"Did you go near my car yesterday?" he finally asked.
"Yes," Sabrina admitted honestly.
"I placed the herbal medicine Grandpa asked me to bring into your back seat."
"But I never opened the hood or touched anything else."
"Can anyone confirm that?"
She lowered her head.
"No..."
The detective closed his notebook.
"Mrs. Ford, until we finish the investigation, we ask that you don't leave the city."
"I understand."
After the detective left, an uncomfortable silence filled the room.
Sabrina looked directly at Sebastian.
"Do you believe I tried to kill you?"
He didn't answer immediately.
"I believe evidence."
Those four words shattered the small hope she had begun to build.
"So that's your answer," she whispered.
She quietly picked up her handbag.
"Where are you going?" Sebastian asked.
"Home."
"There's nothing more for me to do here."
Without waiting for permission, Sabrina left the hospital.
Outside, rain began falling once again.
She stood alone beneath the gray sky, feeling as if history were repeating itself.
First prison.
Then her mother's death.
Now another accusation.
"Why..." she whispered through tears.
"Why does no one ever believe me?"
Back at the Ford Mansion, Arthur was furious after hearing about the investigation.
"Nonsense!"
"Sabrina would never do such a thing!"
The butler nodded.
"I believe so too, Chairman."
"Find out who really tampered with that car," Arthur ordered.
"Quietly."
"Yes, Chairman."
Meanwhile, Sebastian couldn't stop replaying Sabrina's expression in his mind.
She hadn't looked angry.
She had looked... heartbroken.
His assistant entered with another report.
"Mr. Ford, security finished reviewing the surveillance footage."
"Did it show Sabrina?"
"Yes... but something is strange."
"What?"
"There's a ten-minute gap in the recording."
"The cameras suddenly stopped working before the accident."
Sebastian frowned deeply.
"Coincidence?"
"Highly unlikely."
"Recover the missing footage."
"Immediately."
That afternoon, Sabrina visited her mother's grave.
She gently placed a bouquet of white lilies beside the tombstone.
"Mom..."
"I tried to start over."
"But trouble follows me everywhere."
A gentle breeze rustled through the trees.
She smiled sadly.
"Sometimes I wonder if I should've stayed in prison."
As she prepared to leave, she noticed fresh flowers already placed beside the grave.
They hadn't been there earlier.
"Who brought these?"
The cemetery caretaker approached.
"An elderly gentleman visits every month."
"He always brings white lilies."
"Did he leave his name?"
"No."
"But he always says he's repaying an old debt."
Sabrina immediately thought of Arthur.
"Could it really be him?"
That evening, Sebastian returned home from the hospital.
His injuries still hurt, but something bothered him even more.
The mansion felt unusually empty.
"Where's Sabrina?"
A maid bowed respectfully.
"Young Madam hasn't returned since leaving the hospital."
Arthur looked up from his wheelchair.
"You drove her away."
"I only questioned her."
"Sometimes distrust hurts more than hatred," Arthur replied.
"Go find her."
"She'll come back if she's innocent."
"And if she doesn't?"
Arthur looked straight into his grandson's eyes.
"Then you'll lose the only woman who has ever stayed beside you without asking for anything in return."
Late that night, Sebastian stood alone in his study.
His phone suddenly rang.
It was the detective.
"Mr. Ford, we recovered part of the missing surveillance footage."
"And?"
"Someone entered your garage twenty minutes after Mrs. Ford left."
"Can you identify him?"
"No..."
"Because he was wearing a black hood."
"But before leaving... he deliberately wiped every surface clean."
Sebastian's expression darkened.
"So Sabrina may have been framed..."
"There's one more thing," the detective added.
"The hooded man wasn't alone."
"He was speaking to someone on the phone."
"Did you recover the audio?"
"Only one sentence."
"What did he say?"
The detective hesitated.
"He said..."
"'Miss Lynn, everything is going according to your plan.'"
